Corey Behel

Bio
Corey Behel serves as the Director of Career, Technical, and Specialized Education, a role he assumed this summer as the department expanded its focus to reflect the growing scope of career training and student opportunities. He brings 20 years of experience in supervision and administration, having previously worked as a school administrator and Central Office Director. Most recently, he served as Director of Workforce Innovation, overseeing the Launch and Southwire workforce development programs.
Dr. Behel is committed to an innovative, outcome-driven approach that strengthens career pathways and connects students to meaningful opportunities through a comprehensive career networking system. He is proud to be part of a collaborative team dedicated to maximizing each student’s career potential and long-term success.
Career Guidance
Holley Robbins

Bio
Holley Robbins serves as the CTE Counselor, providing comprehensive guidance that supports students’ academic, career, and social/emotional development. She works closely with students to help them create meaningful plans for high school, postsecondary education, and future careers.
Ms. Robbins is dedicated to strengthening the connection between education and workforce readiness by helping students build essential soft skills such as communication, problem-solving, motivation, and critical thinking. Through career advising, course selection, and individualized planning, she ensures students are prepared to successfully transition from high school to college, technical training, or directly into the workforce.
Career Coach
Callie Thomas

Bio
Callie Thomas serves as the Career Coach at Florence High School in Florence, Alabama. In this role, she is dedicated to helping students explore career pathways, develop workforce-ready skills, and prepare for life after graduation.
Callie works closely with students, families, faculty, and community partners to create meaningful career exploration opportunities, including industry visits, guest speakers, postsecondary planning, and hands-on learning experiences. She is passionate about connecting students with local businesses, colleges, and training programs to ensure they graduate with a clear plan and the confidence to pursue their goals.
Her mission is to empower every student at Florence High School to discover their strengths and build a successful future.
