Mr. Tyler Morris
My name is Tyler Morris and I began teaching in Florence City Schools in 2016. I am originally from North Mississippi and moved to the Shoals in 2011. My wife and I have made this our home and enjoy raising our two kids here.
I received a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of North Alabama and a Master of Information Systems from the University of Alabama Huntsville. Additionally, I hold a TestOut Security Pro certification and a Fiber Optics Technician and Installer certification. During my time at Florence, I taught Computer Science to the 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grades.

Program Description:
Exploring Computer Science exposes students to various paths in the computer science field and students are given the opportunity to take a Python programming certification.
AP Computer Science Principles exposes students to the underlying principles of computer science and programming and dives deeper than Exploring Computer Science.
AP Computer Science, A is a Java programming class where students are given the opportunity to obtain a Java Programming certification. In 2024, I also started offering a Fiber Optics Installer and Technician credential.
